Brand Story Sessions · Denver · Available for Travel
Brand photography for businesses with a real story to tell.
Documentary brand storytelling for founders, artists, and creative businesses in Denver. Not another posed shoot — a strategic image library built around how your business actually works, planned for your website, launch, press coverage, and months of social content. Sessions from $1,800.
What Documentary Brand Photography Is
Your business doesn't need 40 more photos of you pretending to type.
It needs images that show what you actually do — the hands at work, the space at golden hour, the conversation with a client, the product coming together, the room when it's full. That's what people trust, and that's what a documentary brand session documents.
Every project starts with a story interview, because the pictures only work if they're built on the right story. I come from qualitative research and editorial photography: I ask the questions, find the thread, then photograph your business the way a magazine would — honestly, in real light, while real work happens.
You don't get "a photoshoot." You get a story library: 40–150+ images sequenced and organized by how you'll use them, with a usage guide mapping images to your website, press kit, launch, and social calendar.

Who You're Hiring
A documentary eye with a business head.
I'm Tara Lenehan. My instincts were built photographing live music — reading a room fast, working in hard light, catching moments that can't be re-staged. That work led to editorial photography published by PEOPLE, magazine covers for RedRover's Companion, and an international exhibition at Trieste Photo Days 2024.
The other half of my background is strategy: I interview people for a living, and I design websites, brand positioning, and SEO for independent businesses — including Mile High Athlete and Girls in the Pit, the music media platform I founded. So when I plan your session, I'm thinking about your homepage hero, your press pitch, and your next quarter of content — not just pretty frames.

Good Questions
Before you inquire.
Start Here
Tell me what you're building.
The more you share, the better the first conversation. You'll hear back within 48 hours — usually faster — with next steps and a link to book a discovery call.
One Last Thing
The story is already happening.
Let's document it.
Every day your business runs without real images is a day of marketing you can't get back. Tell me what you're building — I'll tell you exactly how we'd photograph it.
